I don't know about y'all, but over the years I've tried a lot of water-picking devices and mostly hated them all. They were big, clumsy, and messy as hell. Then, I discovered SoWash about five years ago-ish. I love this little guy.
I don't have to fill any reservoirs, or worry about bacteria growing in the water container, none of that. I simply attached the hose to the faucet using a quarter-turn to lock it. Insert the tip in my mouth and turn the water on to a nice warm temperature, and pick away.
So where did this thing of water-picking term come from? I know that's a big brand name, but I guess it's supposed to be like picking your teeth.
Anyway, I gave you the basics of how to use this, now let me give you some lessons learned. Always put the water jet tip in your mouth before turning on the water. This thing really is a water jet and it will fire a stream of water for about ten feet, I think. If you drop it while it's under pressure it will dance around like snake on a hot rock.
When your done jetting your teeth, my preferred term, turn the water off, keeping the tip in your mouth until you feel the water pressure stop. Otherwise, you will be cleaning up water off the mirror, the sink, the floor, yourself, and maybe a wall or two.
This thing comes with a faucet adapter that, when you aren't using the water jet, is like any other faucet nozzle; it dispenses water for washing in a normal stream.
The other thing I do when I'm done and the water pressure is off is, I blow through the tip to expel water still in the hose to try to make sure there's no standing water in the hose than can breed brain worms or whatever.
That's it. This baby works easier and better than anything else I've tried.
